Something the Israelites didn't quite get was that salvation was not going to happen by works. They already messed up in following the law.. it is by faith.
Believe and confess your faith that Jesus has saved us and it is Jesus who has made things right between us and God. It is not by our effort at all - so we can't boast about it. We can't credit ourselves for our own righteousness...
Yet - how can people believe God if they have never heard about God? If they choose to reject or accept is not up to you but the responsibility of sharing the word of God and the good news of the Gospel is upon us.
How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!

this is always the passage and lesson. they failed because they kept listening to the law and question Jesus. its by faith, not by the laws.

in a God that isn't there;
but He is there. spritually,and He's right next to us. we just have to realize that and have faith. faith. thats all we need. although we lack that everytime something comes up
