April 9 - Romans 3:21- 31

Romans 3:23 is a verse everyone should memorize for it is one of the basic statements of our faith. "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." As discussed previously the Law was given to us so that we would realize we are sinners.

It is only by God's grace that is received through a trusting faith that recognizes that without GOD's grace we cannot be declared righteous. The only reason we get to call ourselves a friend of God is because we have faith that His blood is payment enough for our sins. By His gift of grace through His blood we have been spared from punishment that we deserve. (vv. 25-26)

So another Q&A comes up.
Q: If we are not justified by what we do (law of works) but by faith then can we just throw out the law since faith takes care of everything?
A: No way. It is by faith that we are able to finally live according to the law because Christ transforms us and gives us the strength to overcome sin's power over us. The Law is no longer something that makes us feel bad. It becomes the standard by which we live the life we were created for and meant to live.

It is by God's grace received through faith that we live life according to God's pefect law
